Byars, Younker Tops in District FB Stat Categories; Six Other Chargers on Lists


Eight players on the ACGC football team are listed in the top ten in eight different statistical categories in Class 1A-District 7 for the season just completed, with Will Byars sitting at the top spot in punting with an average of 39.4 yards on seventeen punts. Logan Brincks also made the top ten in punting with an average of 36.6 yards on seventeen punts, good for fourth place.

Quynton Younker also finished first in a category, as he recovered four fumbles for the Chargers. Gabe Rowley tied for third in fumble recoveries with 2.

Caden Wardyn finished second in kick off returns with an average of 28.2 yards per return. Wardyn also finished tied for third in number of pass receptions with 12, and ninth in yards receiving with 153.

Cole Boyer was second in the tackles category, as he recorded a total of 62.5, while Ben Kingery finished sixth with 49.5 tackles.

Bryce Littler was fifth in passes completed with 30, and finished in the number seven position for yards gained passing with 316.

Brincks, Wardyn, and Boyer are seniors, while Rowley, Byars, Kingery, are juniors and Younker and Littler are sophomores.
