Gunner Larsen Claims Title at CRB Invitational; Charger Team Finishes Sixth


The ACGC wrestling team made the short trip to Coon Rapids yesterday and came away with one champion and three runners-up at the Crusader Invitational. Gunner Larsen pinned his way through the competition to claim the 113 pound title. He scored falls over wrestlers from Riverside, East Sac County and South Central Calhoun to win the crown.

Finishing second for the Chargers were Seth Danker at 106 lb., Easton Benson at 126 lb., and Gabe Rowley at 138 lb., while Blaine Beeler claimed third place at 120 lb. Zach Fees also competed in the 132 lb. class to round out the squad of the six Chargers who wrestled yesterday.

ACGC finished sixth overall in the ten team tournament with 103 points. Panorama won the tam title with 242.5 points while claiming six individual champions.

Next up for the Chargers is the Woodbine duals this Thursday, with first matches scheduled for 5:30.
