Basketball Season at Half Way Point; Van Meter, Panorama lead WCAC
We have now reached the midway point of the 2017-18 basketball season so it is time to look at the WCAC conference standings. Van Meter is leading the boys' standings with a 9-0 mark, while Panorama leads the girls' conference with an 8-0 record. West Central Valley and Des Moines Christian have not yet played. All other schools have played one another. The second round of games begins tonight with a full slate scheduled. The Charger teams will travel to Madrid for a girls/boys doubleheader to begin at 6:30.
Also listed below are the top ten scorers in the conference based on average per game. ACGC senior Caden Wardyn cracked the top ten in the number seven spot with an average of 14 points per game.
