Panorama, Van Meter Win Girls', Boys' WCAC Basketball Championships


The Panorama Panthers girls' basketball team and the Van Meter Bulldogs boys' team captured WCAC titles for the 2017-18 season. Panorama was perfect in conference play with a 16-0 record. Its only defeat for the season was a non-conference loss to two time defending 1-A champion Springville, 60-51, in overtime.

The Van Meter boys had an unblemished record until the final regular season game when it fell to Des Moines Christian, 69-63, last Tuesday. The loss gave the Bulldogs a 17-1 WCAC record and an overall record of 20-1.
