Charger Boys' Golf Shows Improvement at CRB

Last Saturday the Charger boys' golf team participated in a quadrangular at the Coon Rapids golf course, and coach Lori McGivney saw improvement from her linksters. "All of the boys kept their scores down with improved contact, McGivney said. "After hitting down to get under the ball with dry conditions, it took some adjustment to hit a little shallower in very wet conditions. Hard work is paying off," she concluded.

Spencer Grove led the Chargers with a score of 92 on rounds of 48 and 44. McKlain Jorgensen followed with a 100, while Eli Kading's 108 and Nolan Wheatley's 111 also figured in the team score. Seth Danker shot a 111 and Casson Benson a 117.

As a team ACGC finished third out of four teams with a 411 score. CRB won the event with a team score of 341. Other teams included the Panorama JV, which shot a 406 and Glidden-Ralston which scored a 450.

Today both the boys' and girls' teams travel to Lake Panorama for the WCAC meet and the will have sectionals on Friday at the 5x80 course.
