Baier Claims Silver at IKM-Manning; Girls' Golf Season Ends at Regional Tourney


The Charger girls' golf season came to an end over that last four days, with meets at IKM-Manning on Saturday and the IGHSAU regional tournament yesterday.

ACGC sophomore Kena Baier had one of her best days of the season at IKM-Manning, as she took the silver medal by shooting a 50 over the nine hole course. No team score was kept for the Chargers, as Sally Jo Geckler was the only other Charger who competed. Geckler shot a 70. Boyer Valley claimed the team title in the four team meet with a 211 score.

Yesterday the girls completed the season at the regional tournament held at the Lake Panorama course. Baier again paced the Chargers with a 116 score over the 18 hole course, followed by Haley Sheeder's 120. Morgan Sheeder had a 174 score and Geckler shot a 177.

As a team the Chargers shot a 580, while South Hamilton took first place with a 408.
