Charger Wrestlers Open Home Season With Double Dual Wins; Run Record to 5-0

The ACGC wrestling team took two dual matches last night on the Charger mat with wins over Bedford/Lenox, 53-30 and CRB, 42-22, to run its dual meet record to 5-0 on the season. In the Bedford match the Chargers won six of the nine matches that were contested, with forfeits awarded in six weight classes. Versus CRB the Chargers went four and four, with three forfeits providing the difference in the score.

Seth Danker returned to action for the Chargers after missing last week's tournament competition. Danker recoded two falls on the day, as did Blaine Beeler and Gabe Rowley. Devon Oberholtz recorded the fastest fall on the day when he pinned Payton Wiliams of Bedford/Lenox in thirty seconds.

Charger coach Seth Danker was complimentary towards his team when he said, "I thought we came out and wrestled very well. We had some individuals shuffle around in our lineup which I think will make us stronger as a team. We had some really good performances last night."

The Chargers will head for Oakland on Saturday for the Riverside junior varsity and varsity tournaments, with the first match scheduled or 10 AM.
