Outdoor Track Season Begins, Boys Compete at Audubon Early Bird Meet

The ACGC boys' track team opened the outdoor season yesterday when it participated in the eighteen team Audubon early bird meet. No team scoring was kept, as for most schools this was their first competition of the season. The Chargers were without the seniors on the team, as the senior class trip to Washington D.C. was still in progress. Best finish for ACGC in individual events was Clayton Wardyn's fourth place in the high jump--a leap of 5'6". The 800 meter relay team of Charlie Crawford, Kolby Jacobe, Cayden Jensen, and Austin Wierick turned the best relay performance, claiming fifth place with time of 1:37.54.

The boys' next competition will be at the Perry Invitational this Thursday, March 28, with field event beginning at 4:45. The Charger girls will also be at the co-ed event.
