Chargers VB Players Fare Well in WCAC Final Stat Categories


The conference runners-up ACGC volleyball team had several individuals who placed in the top ten in several WCAC statistical categories. The Chargers finished with a 9-1 record to finish second to Des Moines Christian in conference play. Three Chargers finished first in their respective speciality, as Chloe Largent topped the conference with 237 kills in the ten conference matches, while Audrey Stowe was first in assists with 339, and and Alaina Bunde led the league with 42 blocks.

Largent also placed in the top ten in two other categories including kill efficiency where she had a rating of .410--good for third--and she placed tenth in total blocks with 16. Stowe was also in the top ten in two additional categories. The Charger junior placed fifth in successful serves with 139 and in ace serves where she ranked second with 36.

Saige O'Brien placed second in blocks with 31 and was ninth in ace serves with 24. Kylie Young was in the top ten in three categories including a third place finish in serve success with 153 successful serves, a fifth place finish in ace serves with 31, and 75 kills--good for tenth place. Senior Olivia Laabs finished in fourth place in digs with 156 and EmmaKay McClain claimed fourth in blocks with 26.

As a team ACGC finished first in for different categories--kills (388), ace serves (141), assists (359), and blocks (140). The Chargers placed second in kill efficiency (.294) and successful serves (782). On the other hand the team rated ninth in digs with 365 and in serve efficiency with a percentage of 85.9%.

The Chargers face Treynor next Monday, October 28 on the Charger court in quarterfinal regional play with first serve scheduled for 7 PM. Go Chargers!
