ACGC Cross Country Teams Finish 2nd, 5th at Panorama

The Lake Panorama par three golf course was the latest scene for area high school cross country runners to compete, and the competition was fierce, especially among teams from the WCAC. Earlham placed third and Ogden was fifth. One day prior to the meet, the ACGC boys' were ranked first statewide in class 1A by the Iowa Track and Field Coaches' Association.

Trevin Suhr again paced the Chargers' boys with a fifth place finish in a time of 17:34 over the 5K course. Four runners--two from DMC and one each from Earlham and Madrid-- from the WCAC finished ahead of Suhr who is currently ranked seventh in the state among class 1A runners.

In the first race of the afternoon the ACGC girls placed fifth among the fourteen teams in the field. Clarinda won the girl's race with Van Meter, DMC, and Earlham all finishing ahead of the Chargers' girls.
