"Big Three" Dominate All-WCAC Softball Selections; Kelsey on Second Team

The West Central Activities Conference has released its all conference selections for softball following Earlham's 1-0 loss to North Linn in the 2A state championship game played in Fort Dodge last Thursday.

It comes as no surprise that the "Big Three" in the WCAC dominated the selections, as conference champion Interstate 35, runner up Van Meter, and third place finisher Earlham claimed ten of the first team selections among them.

ACGC senior catcher Mady Kelsey was selected to the second team as a utility player. Two other Charger seniors--EmmaKay McClain and Kylie Young--received honorable mention.

Panorama also had two honorable mention players--Claire Woodworth and Jaidyn Sellers.

The complete first and second teams are as follows: First team: Pitchers: Katie Murphy, soph- Interstate 35; Macy Blomgren, soph-Van Meter; Madeline Janssen, sr-Earlham. Catcher:

Catcher: Mallory McKinney, jr-Pleasantville; Infield: Kadence Alery, fr- Interstate 35; Cora Boyle, fr-Earlham; Kaleigh Friend, soph-Des Moines Christian; Shea Rhodes, jr-Van Meter.
