Charger Golfers Finish Second at Jester Park Triangular

The ACGC golf team had an opportunity to play at Jester Park in Des Moines on Tuesday as it competed with Des Moines Christian and Earlham. The Chargers finished in the middle of the threesome with a score of 186. DMC won the event with a 164 and Earlham had a score of 195.

Eli Kading had the best round for the Chargers as he scored a 44, good for seventh place among the twenty golfers competing. Right behind Kading was Gunnar Larsen with a 45. Also figuring in the ACGC scoring as Nolan Wheatley with a 48 and Seth Danker with a 49. Jayden Forsyth carded a 52 and Bo Arrasmith shot a 53.

"We finally had all four seniors score for us," Charger mentor Lori McGivney commented following the meet. "Host Des Moines Christian played their course very efficiently. Every one of our players had one challenging hole that raised their scores. I'm happy to see positive attitudes, great work ethic, and more consistency developing."

The Charger junior varsity had an opportunity to play the par three course, with Noah Smith leading the JV with a 39. Other Charger scores were Cale Rowley at 43, Keith Kinney at 46, and Trever Derry with a 47. Also playing were Wyatt Rudy who shot a 49 and Konnr Kinney, who tallied a 53.
