Chargers Host Triangular Dual; Win One, Lose One

The ACGC hosted Woodward-Granger and Baxter in a triangular dual event last Tuesday and came up with a 1-1 record for the evening. The Chargers defeated Baxter by a 47-24 score and fell to WCAC rival Woodward-Grander, 60-24. The split gives the Chargers a 10-11 record in dual meets up to this point in the season.

Three Chargers won both of their head to head matches, including Seth Danker, Dawson Muller, and Cale Rowley. Danker (29-1) won by fall and technical fall at 138 lb; Muller (19-15) won by two falls (145 lb), one of which was in twenty seconds; Rowley (21-2) also won by two falls at 152 lb.

Tegan Slatbaugh (27-5) won by a forfeit and a fall at 106 lb, while Cayden Jensen won and lost by fall at 160 lb.

"Tuesday night was our last home dual for these seniors. It was kind of a heavy evening at time," Charger coach Shawn Danker said on Wednesday. "They have put in a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into their four years of wrestling for the ACGC Chargers. They will be missed very much and I appreciate everything they have put into the wrestling program.

"The Chargers wrestled very well as a whole," Danker continued. "We expected to. win one dual and lose one. We won more head to head matches than our opponents, so that makes us feel good about where we are right now. Seth built on his technical fall record wth one more and a fall. He has also broken the school record for three point near falls with fifty one. The former record was forty five."
