Chargers' Volleyball Wins Two of Five at W-G

The ACGC volleyball team concluded its regular season on Saturday at the Woodward-Granger tournament and came home with a two win, three loss record at the tourney.

In pool play the team opened with a 2-0 loss to Roland Story, rebounded with a 2-0 win over Grand View Christian, and finished with a 2-0 loss to Bondurant-Farrar. In its final two matches the Chargers defeated Panorama 2-0 with set scores of 21-5 and 21-15 and lost to Grand View Christian by identical scores of 21-18.

With the two win and three loss day, the Chargers' regular season ended with a mark of 21 wins and 12 losses, including an 7-3 record in the WCAC which was good for fourth place in the league.

"We were hot and cold. Our play was pretty average," Charger coach Jen Policky commented. "We need to pick up our speed and pace of the game moving into post season play." Post season play begins tomorrow (Wednesday) with the Chargers hosting Nodaway Valley at 7 PM.
