Chargers' Wrestlers Win One of Three at Home Meet

A 60-0 shutout of CR-B highlighted the ACGC four team dual last night hosted by the Chargers. In action with the other schools, Interstate 35 bested the Chargers 35-27, and Bedford-Lenox also topped the locals 54-30.

Bryce Rochholz at 195 lbs. was the lone Charger to win all three of his matches, although Tegan Slaybaugh at 120, Cayden Jensen at 152, and Dawson Muller at 160 each won both of their contested matches and also won a match by forfeit.

Of the thirteen individual matches won by ACGC wrestlers, twelve were by fall. Rochholz recorded the fastest pin for the Chargers when he pinned his opponent from I-35 in twenty one seconds.

Coach Rumelhart offered these comments about his team's performance. "The guys competed hard and we went 13-10 on the matches we actually had opponents for. Taytum Bates had another nice win, and my seniors all went 3-0 along with Slaybaugh.

"This weekend we look forward to having a JV and varsity tourney at Riverside. We will be able to match guys up accordingly and will make more improvements."
