Six ACGC Wrestlers Place at Nodaway Valley Meet

The ACGC wrestling team placed six of their own at the Bill Riley Invitational held at Nodaway Valley High School in Greenfield on Saturday. Tegan Slaybaugh led the team with a second place finish at 120 lbs, while Gavin Sloss claimed third place at 113 lbs.

A foursome of Chargers finished in fifth place in their respective weights including Cayden Jensen at 160, Dawson Muller at 170, Bryce Rochholz at 195, and Payton Jacobe at 285.

Charger coach Lane Rumelhart offered these comments after the meet. "Gavin Sloss wrestled well, losing to the eventual champion. Payton Jacobe had a huge overtime win in his first match of the day. Dawson Muller and Cayden Jensen both wrestled up one weight class and did well. Moving forward they will both wrestle in their normal weight classes."

The Chargers finished tenth among the thirteen teams participating with 83 points. Clarinda took the team title with 211 points.
